This weekend I went to Mountain View to go to the Pearl Jam concert in the 24th Annual Bridge School Benefit. I’m going to do some posts about this trip but I want to start with the concert.
In the festival played artists like Billy Idol, Elvis Costello, Pearl Jam and others. Before talking about the main concert, I want to say some things about the Billy Idol show. I wasn’t expecting anything, but it turned out to be an amazing, even though he plays the same songs of 30 years ago. He still has a punk attitude, but without looking ridiculous.
Now, let’s talk about Pearl Jam. The show lasted for 1h and it was kind of acoustic. I honestly don’t know what happens when they go on stage, they are able to change the atmosphere, and even with a calmer concert it was beautiful and special. Is really difficult to explain those things, but whoever went to their concert knows what I’m talking about. And for me, since I’m not american, the special moment of it, the one that I’m going to tell to my kids about, is the participation of Neil Young in their concert.
